Kauai Marriott Beach Club Associates Donate Three Truckloads of Food to Kauai Independent Food Bank
In a show of support for the community, Kauai Marriott Beach Club associates, led by Manager Sherri Sanchez Holcomb, arrived at the Kauai Independent Food Bank (KIFB) with three truckloads of food. Executive Director Kelvin Moniz emphasized the importance of providing food to those in need, highlighting the impact of food insecurity on individuals and families.
Despite the light mist that fell during the delivery, the team worked tirelessly to unload the food and prevent any damage to the supplies. The Marriott group’s donation of 2,645 pounds of food will support KIFB’s various programs, including the backpack program that helps schoolchildren access food over the weekends.
Moniz expressed his gratitude for the generous donation, emphasizing that it will help KIFB continue its mission of addressing food insecurity on the island. He stressed that anyone can be affected by food insecurity and that the organization remains committed to supporting those in need.
This act of kindness by the Marriott Kauai Beach Club showcases the importance of community partnerships in addressing food insecurity. For more information on KIFB and how to support their efforts, visit their website at www.kauaifoodbank.org.
