The 2024 Holly Jolly Holiday Fair at the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort kicked off the holiday season with over 40 Kauai Made vendors and local entertainers. Despite a brief fire alarm causing a momentary scare, the event continued smoothly with visitors enjoying the festive atmosphere inside the resort, which was decked out in holiday decorations. The fair saw a surge in visitors, with 150 Kauai Made bags distributed to the first 150 shoppers. Attendees could enjoy performances by local acts like the Flores Sisters and visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Various vendors offered a wide range of products, from gift bags and platters to seasonal treats like gingerbread and sugar cookies. One vendor, Na Hulu Art, showcased unique holiday decorations made from popular feather hat leis. The Kauai Made program, which aims to promote locally made products and agricultural goods, was well-represented at the fair.
The event not only provided a platform for local businesses but also entertained visitors with a diverse lineup of activities and shopping options. The Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort also offered a selection of food and beverages for attendees to enjoy. For more information on the Kauai Made program, visit www.kauaimade.net.
