On Sunday, December 8th, a special event will be held at Kaimuki High School to promote interest in baseball and softball for Hawai’i’s youth. Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers and Barefoot League will host a free sports clinic focusing on fundamental skills in both sports, with an emphasis on teamwork and an active lifestyle. This marks the third clinic organized by the two companies this year, following successful events for football and soccer.
The clinic is open to keiki of all skill levels, with a focus on providing a supportive and educational environment for every participant. Coaches, including current and former collegiate and professional players, will lead drills focused on various aspects of the game, tailored to the interests and abilities of the young athletes.
In addition to the clinic, Raising Cane’s and Barefoot League will present a $2,000 donation to Kaimuki High School’s athletic department to support student-athletes in their academic and athletic pursuits. Each participant will also receive goodies and a commemorative t-shirt as a memento of the event.
With plans to hold more sports clinics in the future, the organizations aim to inspire and engage with Hawai’i’s youth, providing opportunities for kids to develop both athletic skills and important life skills like teamwork and leadership. The clinic emphasizes inclusivity and accessibility, with registration open for young athletes at all levels of experience.
By bringing the community together to support and encourage its youngest members, Raising Cane’s and Barefoot League demonstrate a commitment to Hawai’i’s youth and the power of sports to foster growth and development.
