Israeli Forces Target Kamal Adwan Hospital and Nuseirat Home in Northern Gaza: Latest Updates from Gaza

The Israeli military conducted deadly attacks on multiple hospitals in Gaza, including the Kamal Adwan Hospital, as the health system in the region collapses amid ongoing conflict. At least 26 people were killed and more than 60 injured in an airstrike on a home in the Nuseirat refugee camp, with the raid damaging neighboring houses. The Israeli military also besieged the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya, resulting in the deaths of around 30 people, including hospital staff, and trapping frightened individuals seeking medical assistance.

Witnesses reported that Israeli forces used drones to target Palestinians inside the hospital, violating the protection of medical facilities and staff under the Geneva Convention. Norwegian doctor Mads Gilbert suggested that the Israeli military is using hospitals as traps to apprehend or kill individuals, labeling their actions as war crimes.

The World Health Organization condemned the Israeli attacks on hospitals, stating that staff were bombed without warning. Israel claims that Hamas fighters are using civilian buildings for cover, but Hamas denies this, accusing Israel of indiscriminate bombings. The Palestinian Health Ministry noted that the main hospitals in northern Gaza are struggling to function due to repeated attacks.

The escalating violence in Gaza has raised concerns about the humanitarian crisis, with international organizations calling for the protection of medical facilities and personnel. The situation highlights the urgent need for a ceasefire and a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
