Hawaii Five-0 star Taylor Wily passes away at the age of 56. The news was confirmed by close friend and musician Lina Girl Langi on her lifestyle show “Island Life Live.” Wily, known for playing Kamekona on the CBS drama, was described as one of the kindest and gentlest souls by co-host Davey D. His cause of death remains unknown.
Executive producer of “Hawaii Five-0” and “Magnum P.I.,” Peter Lenkov, shared his devastation over Wily’s passing on Instagram, calling him family. Wily’s sister Alyssa also paid tribute to him at a gathering where family members sang Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds (Don’t Worry About A Thing).”
Wily, born in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1968, also had roles in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and other TV series. Off-screen, he was a successful sumo wrestler under the name “Takamishu.” Wily is survived by his wife and two children.
