Twenty-two people were arrested in Pennsylvania in connection to a human trafficking operation linked to two massage businesses, GL Massage and Li’s Asian Massage, in Carlisle. The arrests were made as part of the Closed2Trafficking operation, which focuses on combatting illegal commercial sexual trafficking. The operation also includes Impact Demand, which targets customers of the sex trade.
The arrests, which started in October and continued into early November, included individuals apprehended for promoting prostitution and prostitution. Those arrested were from locations such as Flushing, New York, and Newport, Pennsylvania. District Attorney Sean M. McCormack emphasized the ongoing effort to root out human trafficking in Cumberland County and send a message that the county is not a place for such operations.
Due to the success of the operation, more arrests related to human trafficking are expected in the future. The investigation is ongoing, and officials are committed to eradicating human trafficking in the area. McCormack stated that Cumberland County is “Closed to Human Trafficking” and urged the community to remain vigilant against such illicit activities.
