Konawaena and Kapa’a Set for HHSAA Division I Football Finals
Konawaena and Kapa’a have earned their spots in the Hawaii High School Athletic Association (HHSAA) Division I football finals, following impressive victories in the semifinals held last Friday.
In a dominant display, Konawaena overwhelmed Leilehua with a decisive 45-20 victory. Quarterback Keenan Alani showcased his skills by throwing five touchdown passes, leading the Wildcats to a convincing win and securing their place in the championship game.
Meanwhile, Kapa’a also made headlines by defeating Damien 55-33 in a high-energy semifinal matchup at Farrington. Nainoa Simmons was the standout star for Kapa’a, amassing an impressive 261 rushing yards on 33 carries, along with three touchdowns, significantly contributing to the team’s success.
