Dodgers Celebrate World Series Victory with Parade in Downtown Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — The Los Angeles Dodgers secured their 8th World Series championship after a decisive victory over the New York Yankees in Game 5. To commemorate this significant achievement, a parade will be held in downtown Los Angeles.

The celebration is set for Friday, November 1, beginning at 11 a.m. and expected to last approximately 45 minutes. Following the parade, a special ticketed event at Dodger Stadium will allow fans to continue the festivities.

The parade will commence at Gloria Molina Grand Park in front of City Hall and will be kicked off by Mayor Karen Bass. The route is about 1.2 miles long, traveling along 1st Street for four blocks, then to S. Grand Avenue, and concluding at 5th and Flower Street.

After the parade, players will proceed to Dodger Stadium for a fan celebration at around 12:15 p.m. Parking gates will open at 8:30 a.m., and entry for ticketed attendees begins at 9 a.m. Guests can enjoy food and merchandise while live coverage of the parade will be displayed on the DodgerVision scoreboards.

For those unable to attend, ABC7 will provide live coverage starting at 10 a.m., accessible through broadcast and streaming platforms.

Fans attending the stadium event should remember that no signs or bags are allowed as per the usual policies. Excitement is palpable as Dodgers fans prepare to celebrate this historic win in style, marking a memorable day for the team and its supporters alike.
