Harris and Trump accelerate campaign efforts with two weeks until Election Day

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and Republican rival Donald Trump are delivering contrasting messages as they campaign in the final two weeks before Election Day. Harris, alongside former Republican lawmaker Liz Cheney, is criticizing Trump as a threat to democracy, while Trump is questioning the competence of the Biden administration.

Harris has been calling Trump “unstable” and “unhinged,” while Trump denies being a threat to democracy and accuses Democrats of being the real threat. Both candidates are making multiple campaign appearances in battleground states, emphasizing the importance of undecided voters.

In Michigan, Cheney encouraged Republicans to vote for Harris if they are concerned about the current administration. Trump, on the other hand, is touring storm-ravaged areas in North Carolina, rallying his supporters to overcome hardships and go to the polls.

Trump criticized FEMA and highlighted his nonstop campaigning efforts, attempting to appeal to working-class voters. He also accused Liz Cheney of being a “war hawk” like her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, who supported the Iraq war.

With close opinion polls and small pockets of undecided voters, both candidates are intensifying their campaign efforts. Concerns about storm damage impacting voter turnout in conservative areas of North Carolina are also being addressed, highlighting the importance of voter participation in the upcoming election.
