Wahine soccer comes from behind to beat UCR


The University of Hawaii soccer team pulled off a thrilling comeback to defeat UC Riverside 2-1, extending their unbeaten streak to nine games. The victory improved Hawaii’s record to 10-6-1 overall and 6-0-1 in Big West play, marking their first 10-win season since 2007. The win also secured a spot in the Big West tournament for the third time in program history.

UC Riverside took an early lead with a goal from Audrey Stewart in the 32nd minute, putting the Highlanders ahead 1-0 at halftime. However, Hawaii fought back in the second half with goals from Cate Sheahan in the 61st minute and Nalani Damacion in the 86th minute to secure the win.
