With the U.S. presidential election just around the corner, Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump were both on the campaign trail in competitive states over the weekend. Harris visited churches in Georgia while Trump made a unique stop at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania, where he cooked french fries for customers.
At the McDonald’s, Trump put on an apron and had fun cooking fries, claiming it was a long-time dream of his. This visit was seen as a jab at Harris, who he says falsely claimed to have worked at the fast-food chain during college. Meanwhile, Harris attended church services in Georgia, including one where music icon Stevie Wonder performed.
Harris emphasized the importance of unity and voting, stating that the country is at a crossroads. Trump, on the other hand, focused on gaining support in swing states, particularly Pennsylvania, where polls show a tight race. As the election approaches, both candidates are aiming to secure every vote they can.
Harris also announced plans to campaign with Republican Liz Cheney in key states, highlighting the importance of reaching out to voters from across the political spectrum. With the race possibly coming down to a small margin of votes, both candidates are making strategic moves to secure victory on November 5th.
