Campbell claims victory over Kahuku in top-ranked showdown


No. 1 Campbell emerged victorious in a highly anticipated matchup against No. 3 Kahuku in Week 11 of the Hawaii high school football season. The Campbell Sabers, led by standout quarterback Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele, secured a hard-fought 21-13 victory over Kahuku’s strong defense on Saturday night. In his debut game with the Red Raiders, quarterback Matai Fuiava, a transfer from St. John Bosco, showcased his skills by throwing a late touchdown to Aiden Manutai.

In other games on Saturday, No. 2 Mililani defeated No. 4 Kapolei 21-13, while Saint Louis dominated Punahou with a score of 50-14. Keaau shut out Waiakea 47-0, Kauai edged out Waimea 20-14, and Kalaheo claimed a 38-13 victory over Kaimuki. Castle triumphed over McKinley with a score of 38-6, Kailua dominated Pearl City with a 65-6 win, and King Keaulike won by forfeit against Molokai.

With the high school football season in Hawaii reaching its peak, fans were treated to a thrilling matchup between two top OIA teams. Campbell’s victory over Kahuku solidified their position as the top-ranked team in the state, while other teams across Hawaii also showcased their talent and determination on the field.
