Trial jurors in Richard Allen’s case hear testimony from former police chief and individual who discovered remains of Abigail Williams and Liberty German in Delphi murders.

The trial for the Delphi double murder case continued with the second day of testimony, where jurors heard from witnesses including the current Carroll County prosecutor’s investigator and Delphi residents involved in the search efforts. The prosecution presented a timeline of events leading up to the discovery of the girls’ bodies and showcased a drone video of the trails near the Monon High Bridge where the teenagers were last seen alive. Witnesses described finding the girls’ belongings and eventually their bodies, with emotional testimony from a resident who stumbled upon the scene. The defense questioned witnesses about the acoustics on the trails and their ability to hear sounds in the secluded area. So far, the state has called eight witnesses in the case against Richard Allen, who is accused of killing Abby Williams and Libby German back in 2017. Jurors will have a break on Sunday before court reconvenes on Monday morning at 9 a.m. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing trial.
